PARTYPOOPER - Same Damn Thing

Same Damn Thing is the latest release from PARTYPOOPER - a creative project from the mind of Mark Bridgeman (Telkwa, BC). The song comes off as a stream of consciousness with lyrics lazily floating alongside layers of echoey guitars. Through two rounds of mastering to tape, the track reflects an analog quality that evokes a sun-baked 90’s cassette tape. Bridgeman’s vocals dreamily recite poetry reminiscent of the stylings of Lou Reed yet remaining distinctly his own.

Same Damn Thing is the first of two releases from PARTYPOOPER created during the pandemic. Bridgeman remotely paired up with musician/producer JP Maurice at Blue Light Studio in Vancouver to turn two of his one-take, bedroom scratch recordings into studio quality tracks. The final product was mastered by Ryan Dahl (Limblifter, Age of Electric, Mounties) at his home studio on Mayne Island.
