PARTYPOOPER - People Don’t Change
Riding along the chill wave of his initial single ‘Same Damn Thing’ and taking a hard right into rock territory comes PARTYPOOPER’s second release ‘People Don’t Change’. Propelled by a Tame Impala invoking bass-line, the song drives forward with the gradual layering up and down of synths and electric guitar. Mark Bridgeman, the mastermind behind PARTYPOOPER, showcases his unique style of lyricism via breathy verses and melodic choruses. This song pairs perfectly with speeding down an open desert road with the top down or spontaneously breaking out into some serious air-guitar.
‘People Don’t Change’ is the second release from PARTYPOOPER created during the pandemic. Bridgeman remotely paired up with musician/producer JP Maurice at Blue Light Studio in Vancouver to turn two of his one-take, bedroom scratch recordings into studio quality tracks. What was initially recorded in a bedroom on a laptop, audio was passed through two rounds of analog tape machine with the final product being mastered by Ryan Dahl (Limblifter, Age of Electric, Mounties) at his home studio on Mayne Island.
